Fearing the unknown is human, but what about fearing what we already know? Restarting can feel even more daunting than starting fresh. Over the past three years, my career has taken turns I never expected. From being in the corporate world, to curating mindfulness videos, to hosting and becoming an MC - these shifts reshaped my identity and ambitions. Yet now, as I revisit those early passions, sharing about mental health and mindfulness, it feels strangely unfamiliar, almost like starting over.
Restarting isn’t simply picking up where you left off, it’s reckoning with the past, with expectations, and with the fear of not measuring up. Questions loom. Will it feel the same? Will I succeed as I once did? Restarting forces us to confront not only what we’ve done but also who we’ve become. It’s not about recreating what was but rather redefining what it could be.
My detours into hosting and influencing weren’t deviations, they were lessons. They taught me resilience, adaptability, and how to connect at a deeper level. When we restart, we do so with wisdom and the scars of experience. It’s not about chasing the past but building something richer and more authentic; it demands vulnerability. It means showing up despite doubts and releasing the pressure to replicate past successes. Vulnerability is where growth begins. For me, returning to mental health discussions isn’t about regaining old momentum, it’s about leaning into the process with curiosity and grace; an act of reclaiming purpose, not perfection.
If you’re standing at the edge of a restart, let this be your reminder:
Redefine Success, don’t let doubts paralyze you. Approach your restart with curiosity and courage.
Give Yourself Grace , restarting is messy. Allow yourself the space to grow and adapt.
Evolve Forward, restarting isn’t about going back. It’s all about moving forward with purpose and intention.
Every restart is a chance to reshape your future. The journey may feel uncertain, but it’s in the leap that transformation begins. So take that step, the version of you waiting on the other side is worth it.
