Realignment - a powerful, confusing and freeing space.

I don’t know about you, but I feel like I was tricked into thinking that finding your purpose/motivation for life makes life easier. I have found that in working towards finding my purpose, my eyes were being opened to all the different ways I did not value or see the value in myself.

Working towards your purpose is a lot of learning and even more unlearning. Unlearning all the things you have conditioned yourself to think, the ways you perceive yourself and especially what you perceive your potential to be. In all this unlearning, comes the realignment.

A space where all your cards are on the table, and it is up to you to choose how you align them.

Over the past few months, life has been quite the experience. From hitting a wall in some relationships and situations to questioning what it is I want my impact to be, and especially who I want to grow into. This came with questioning my values, progress and especially my regress, essentially questioning myself.

In all of this I learned three major things about the cruciality of realignment:

Self-reflection is vital, regardless of circumstances. It’s not just for the tough times and when we hit plateaus; it’s necessary for the good, the bad, and the ugly. Ask yourself: What brings you joy and why? How have your triggers changed? How do they affect you and how do you cope?

You can never get to know yourself, without taking the time FOR YOURSELF.

Realignment is ongoing and it always requires action. Self-reflection and realignment aren’t a one-time thing, because you are evolving everyday. If you settle for it being a once-off occasion, you are simply implying that you are unable to grow, evolve and change.

Realignment with a blend of action is one of the simplest equations to growth.

You > Them. Realigning yourself should never be at the cost of a person, place, or thing. Your growth should be about YOU, making the process of realignment correlate to something outside of self, is essentially signing your progress off to another one. It comes down to this,

“Are you living for you or for them?”

Love & Light,

Zuba
